Pre-close season statement


Top Ten Holdings plc (the 'Company') announces an update for the 26 weeks to 24
September 2006. Admissions to its clubs were adversely affected by the prolonged
heatwave in the summer months combined with the Football World Cup. As a result
of these events the Directors believe that profits for the first half of the
year will be approximately £0.5 million below their expectations.


Trading in recent weeks has substantially recovered from the lows experienced in
the summer and management is taking actions to further improve admissions and
profits.


The Company expects to announce its interim results for the 26 weeks ended 24
September 2006 on the 7 November 2006.
