At Top Ten we understand our responsibilities to our stakeholders including our members, our employees and customers. We have adopted the voluntary codes of practice suggested by the industry and continue to develop our policies to ensure that both responsible gambling and wider corporate responsibility remain key to our operations.
Top Ten supports Gamcare in promoting responsible gambling. Confidential support is available for anyone affected by gambling from Gamcare - they can be contacted on 0800 6000 133 or www.gamcare.co.uk.
All Top Ten bingo clubs and managers are licensed by the Gambling Commission, who is responsible for regulating the industry. For further information, visit www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk.
The Bingo Association (www.bingoassociation.co.uk) is the trade body for UK bingo clubs. A campaign is currently being run to encourage the government to treat bingo fairly - bingo is one of the highest taxed gambling activities in the UK and is subject to ever increasing legislation. To find out more about the campaign, visit www.backbingo.co.uk
National Smoking legislation came into effect in Wales on 1st April 2007 and in England on 1st July 2007 with smoking illegal in public spaces, such as our bingo clubs and arcades. At Top Ten we are continuing to develop and build outdoor smoking shelters for the comfort of our members who wish to continue smoking. We aim to support our members who are looking to use the smoking ban as a springboard to quit through a series of initiatives in our bingo clubs.
For information on giving up smoking, visit the NHS website www.gosmokefree.co.uk
